Because it is not a way of life

The word ‘corruption’ essentially means departure from what is pure, simply or correct, and our political machinery lives up to this definition perfectly. India figures in the list of the most corrupt countries in the world; A position we can never take pride in.

We, the people of India, are known for being religious and God-fearing. Apparently, ethics and morally upright practices don’t form a part of these religions. India regularly joins China and Russia at the top of the Global Bribery Index. The common people pay as much as £2.5 billion as bribe in order to receive basic public services.

How long before honesty sees the light of the day? How much money will have to be exploited to pump these officer’s pockets before a sincere one is allowed to change the scenario?

The question that arises here is, who is to be blamed? The fraudulent system, which appreciates a corrupt execution of tasks, or the citizens who, instead of curbing such deceitful activities, fuel them with our actions ?

Now you may ask, where do WE, the youth, figure in all of this ?

Youth. The blood, the soul of this body we call ‘society’. An inevitable part of the growth process. A nation can’t even BEGIN to function without its youthful citizens. So who better than us to ensure a safer, a more honest India ?

It happens around every nook and corner; corruption is increasing at an overpowering pace. Doesn’t it boil your blood to see a few greasy-handed, greedy mortals sitting on YOUR well-earned money, squandering it like it were their own? How their plush accommodations reek of their dishonesty; and yours too? I know for a fact that I do. And the time is here to grab hold of this rodent gnawing into our political system and tossing it out of the window, for good.

Don't wait for the right opportunity to come your way ! It is here. It is NOW.

Time to get out of our homes, make our voices heard. A voice asking for one single thing : BHRASHTACHAR BHARAT CHHODO !

So here we present you with an opportunity to correct your wrongs, to purify the political structure. Let’s unite and stand up against the wrongs, raise a voice against the injustice. A voice that’s amplified by our passion, our consciousness towards our duties.

Let's ERUPT AGAINST THE CORRUPT. A life lived with dishonesty is a life half lived.

As Anthony Eden puts it, “Corruption has never been compulsory”.
It is time the world knows it , too.
